Ratio of force will be - 1:2

Relation of force with mass and acceleration is given by Newton's second law of motion. It explains relation with mathematical equation- F = ma

F represents force, m is for mass of an object and a represents acceleration.

In the question, acceleration at first is - 4 m/s².

Acceleration later is - 8 m/s².

Therefore, with respect to equation, ratio of force acting will be -

F1/F2 = ma1/ma2

F1/F2 = a1/a2

F1/F2 = 4/8

F1/F2 = 1/2

Hence, ratio of force exerted is 1:2.

Answer:

1:2

Explanation:

Force = m × a

In Ist case = F1 = m × a1

= 1 × 4

= 4N

In IInd case = F2 = m × a2

= 1 × 8

= 8N

Ratio of both F1 /F2 = 4N /8N

= 1 / 2

= 1:2

Hope this helps you .
