A drum of kerosene oil is 3/4 full.When 15 litres of oil is drawn from it,it is 7/12 full.Find the total capacity of the drum.

Let Capacity of Drum = X litres.Initially, Drum was 3X/4 part filled.30 litres oil drawn then it become, 7X/12 part.Now, according to question,3X/4 - 7X/12 = 30(9X - 7X)/12 = 302X = 360X = 180 litres.
