A falcon flew 70 miles in 3 hours. What was the speed of the falcon?

speed = distance over time ; 1 mile = 1609 meters.

Then 70 miles= 1609×70 meters =112,630 meters

Time =3 hrs =10800

Let speed be v

Now,

speed =  \frac{distance}{time}

v =   \frac{112,630 }{10800}

v = 10.42 \frac{m}{s}

v = 10.42m {s}^{ - 1}
