A farmer has a rectangular field length of which is two times of its width. The perimeter of the field is 240m. Find the dimension of field.

let the width be X
length = 2x
perimeter of field= 240 m
perimeter=2(l*b)
240=2(2x*X)
240= 4x^2
60=x^2
X=√60
X= 7.74m ( width)
length = 15.49m
area = l*b
= 7.74*15.49= 119.90 or 120 m
