A father is 24 years old than his daughter. Four years hence, the father will be thrice as old as his daughter. Find their present ages

Let the daughter's age be X years.

Father's age = X + 24

ATQ

Four years hence,

X+24+4 = 3(X+4)

X+28 = 3X + 12

2X = 16

X = 8

∴ Daughter's age = 8 years

Father's age = 24+8 = 32 years
