Let preset age of
Son = x
Father = y

According to question
y = 3x —-(1)

After 15 years
(y + 15) = 2 * (x + 15)
y + 15 = 2x + 30
From equation (1) y = 3x
3x + 15 = 2x + 30
x = 15

Hence present age of
Son = x = 15 years
Father = y = 3x = 45 years

Hey friend,
Here's your answer

Hasty: My calculation is right
JunaidMirza: Check from 3x + 15 = 2x
Hasty: Ok you mean to say that 15will be added at both the sides???
JunaidMirza: No. You wrote 3x + 15 = 2x then 3x - 2x = 15. In second equation it should be 3x - 2x = -15 which will give you x = -15. Age cannot be negative. So your first equation itself is incorrect. Check my answer and correct it.
Hasty: Now is it right
JunaidMirza: Yes. Now it’s correct.
Hasty: Thanks for helping me!!!
Hasty: Are you in 9th
JunaidMirza: 12+
Hasty: Ok
