length = 10

breadth = 7m

area = (l \times b)

Area= (l×b)

(10×7)

70m²

ATQ

Now side of tile= 0.5m

Area of tile= 0.5×0.5

0.25m²

No. of tiles= Area of floor/ Area of tiles

70÷0.25

70×100÷0.25

280 tiles

♧Answer♧

According to the question given shape is a rectangle.

Given data:-

  • ➠Length = L = 10m
  • ➠Breath = B = 7m
  • ➠Square side of tiles = 0.5×0.5 = 0.25m²
  • ➠Area of rectangle = L × B = 10×7 = 70m²

To find:-

  • ➠Number of tiles = N.O = ?

Solution:-

☆We will use this formula to find the number of tiles.

N.O of tiles = Area of floor/Area of tiles

  • ➠70/0.25
  • ➠( 70× 100 )/25
  • ➠70 × 4
  • 280 tiles Ans

Therefore required number of tiles are 280.
