Hey Mate!!

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

=> Area of floor = 5 × 4 = 20 m^2

Area of square = side × side

=> Area of carpet = 3 × 3 = 9 m^2

Thus, area of floor not covered by carpet:

=> area of floor - area of carpet

=> 20 - 9 = 11 m^2

Hope it helps...✌️✌️

Answer: 11m square

Step-by-step explanation:

area of floor not covered = total area of floor - area of carpet = (4 x 5)[dimensions of floor] - (3 x 3)[dimensions of the carpet] = 20 - 9 = 11 m square
