here is your answer
lenght of the floor = 9/4 m
breadth of the floor = 7/4 m
so, area ⬇
area = length \times breadth \\  =  \frac{9}{4}  \times  \frac{7}{4}  \\  =  \frac{63}{16}  {m}^{2}
and now,
area of the square carpet⬇
area =  { (\frac{3}{2} )}^{2}  \\  =  \frac{9}{4}  {m}^{2}
now, area left to be carpeted⬇
  = \frac{63}{16}  -  \frac{9}{4}  \\  =  \frac{63 - 36}{16}  \\  =  \frac{27}{16}  {m}^{2}
so, your final answer is like above one⬆
