A floor which measure 15m and 8m is laid with tiles measuring 50cm by 25cm . find the number of tiles required. further,if carpet is laid on the floor so that a space of 1m exist between its edge and the edges of floor ,what fraction of the floor is uncovered

no. of tiles required =960 and fraction of floor uncovered =11/60
