A force F1= 20N and F2= 30N are acting on an object in two opposite directions. i) What is the net force acting on the object? ii) What is the direction of the net force acting on the object? iii) How much extra force is acting on the object if the object is not moving due to the application of these two forces? Name that force. Where that force acts and what is the direction of that force?

(i)net force acting on them will be
10 N
as force is a vectar quantity.
so while adding them
we generally subtract them...

(ii)the greater force is 30 N ,so the direction of motion will be that of the greater force.....

(iii)an extra force is acting in the direction of F1 force which is balancing the two forces.
the magnitude of that force is 10 N.

hope it helps......
