The moment of force

Explanation:

Given:

A force of 100N,

angle of 60 degrees anticlockwise with the horizontal.

coordinates= (4,5).

moment of force :

F = 100( 1/2i^ + √3/2j^)

r = 4i + 5j

M = r x F

= 100 x (4i + 5j) x (1/2i + √3/2j)

= 100(2√3 R - 5/2R)

= 100(4√3 - 1/2)k

= 5.92 x 100/2

= 296N.m

hence, The moment of force is 296N.m
