See, We know that F=M*A

Which is Force=Mass * Acceleration

Now F=20N

And, M=5kg

So, 20=5*a  (HERE a= ACCELERATION)

20÷5=a

∴a=4

∴The acceleration of the object is 4m/s.

Given,

Force = 20 N

Mass of block = 5 kg

To find,

Acceleration of the object

Solution,

In order to solve this question easily and correctly, we can follow the given steps.

The acceleration of the object can be defined as the rate at which the velocity changes with respect to time.

From what knowledge, we have of this chapter in Physics we know that according to the second law of motion

F =  ma

Here,

F = force acting on the object

m = mass of the object

a = acceleration of the object

In order to calculate the acceleration of the object, we will rearrange the above equation F = ma. In this way, the calculation of the acceleration is going to be easier.

Thus, it becomes

Acceleration, a = \frac{F}{m}

= \frac{20}{5}

= 4 ms^{2}

Hence, the acceleration of the object is calculated to be 4 ms^{2}.
