Let the fraction be x/y
A.TQ
1st condition,
x-1/y = 1/3
2nd condition,
x/y+8 = 1/4
3x-3 = y
3x-y = 3 (eq.1)
4x = y+8
4x-y = 8 (eq.2)
By elimination method
By adding the both equation we get
= -x = -5
x = 5
putting the value of X in equation 1
3(5)-y = 3
15-y = 3
-y = 3-15
-y = -12
y = 12
Let the fraction be X/Y
A.T.Q
1st condition,
x-1/y+2 = 1/2
2nd condition,
x-7/y-2 = 1/3
2x-2 = y+2
2x-y = 4 (eq.1)
3x-21 = y-2
3x-y = 19 (eq.2)
By elimination method [my fav :-) ]
By adding both the equation we get
-x = -15
x = 15
putting the value of X in equation 1
2(15)-y = 4
30-y = 4
-y = 4-30
-y = -26
y = 26
