Given :- A fruit seller bought 25 dozen bananas at the rate of 5 for ₹7 and sold them at the rate of 6 for ₹10 . find the C.P of all bananas ,the S.P of all bananas , the profit and the profit percent ?

Solution :-

given,

→ CP of banana => 5 banana For = Rs. 7

→ SP of banana => 6 banana for = Rs. 10

in order to make quantity same multiply CP by 6, and SP by 5 , we get,

→ CP of banana => 30 banana For = Rs. 42

→ SP of banana => 30 banana for = Rs. 50 .

So,

CP of 30 banana is = Rs.42

→ CP of 1 banana is = Rs.(42/30)

→ CP of 25 dozen banana = (42/30) * (25 * 12) = Rs.420 (Ans.)

And,

SP of 30 banana is = Rs.50

→ SP of 1 banana is = Rs.(50/30)

→ SP of 25 dozen banana = (50/30) * (25 * 12) = Rs.500 (Ans.)

Rs.500 (Ans.)

Therefore,

Total Profit = SP - CP = 500 - 420 = Rs.80 (Ans.)

Hence,

Profit % = (Profit in Rs. * 100) / CP

→ Profit % = (80 * 100) / 420

→ Profit % = 19.04% (Ans.)
