A fruitseller makes a profit of RS. 16 on selling each apple and a loss of RS.9 on selling each mango.Find the profit or loss of fruit seller if he sells 22 apples and 30 mangoes​

profit on 1 apple = ₹16

profit on 22 apples= ₹ 16 × 22

352 rs.

loss on 1 mango= ₹ 9

loss on 30 mangoes= ₹ 9 × 30

Profit on 22 apples is 352 Rs

Loss on 30 apples is 270 Rs.

GIVEN

Profit on selling one apple = 16 Rs

Loss on selling one mango = 9 Rs.

TO FIND

Profit on 22 aaples

loss on 30 mangoes

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows.

we are given ,

Loss on 1 apple = 16 Rs .

So, The profit on 22 apples will be equal to 22 times of 1

Rs 16

Therefore,

Profit on 22 apples = 16 × 22 = 352 Rs.

Similarly,

Loss on 1 mango = 9 Rs .

So, Loss on 30 mangoes will be equal to 30 times of 9

Therefore,

Loss on 30 mangoes = 9 × 30 = 270 Rs.

Hence,

Profit on 22 apples is 352 Rs

Loss on 30 apples is 270 Rs.
