The gas means a part of Air which has particular weight particular volume and occupy certain area.
The gas might be invisible but is present.
The vessel is said to be empty when it is filled with vaccum(the no air condition).
The space occupied by the gas is infinite it is present everywhere likely in the same way it occupy entire vessel to store itself

Hello yaar,
A gas fills the container completely. This happens because the particles of gases are loosely packed and they have the property to flow very easily. So they move throughout the vessel applying pressure and filling the vessel. Air is a mixture of gases which are invisible and are constantly moving so they occupy the vessel too.
hope it helps u..
