Answer:

v = u + at

v = 2 + (-0.50)(2)

v = 2 - 1

= 1 m/s

Given:

  • Initial velocity,u = 2 m/s

  • Acceleration, a = -0.5 m/s²

  • Time taken, t = 2 s

To be calculated:

Calculate the velocity of moving body?

Formula used:

V = u + at

Solution:

★ According to the first equation of motion,we have :

v = u + at

☆Substituting the value in the above formula,we get

v = 2 + (- 0.5 ) × 2

v = 2 +( -5/10) × 2

v = 2 + ( -5/5 )

v = 2 - 1

v = 1 m/s

Thus, velocity moving golf ball is 1 m/s .

Extra information:

Three equation of motion:

  • v = u + at

  • s = ut + 1/2 at²

  • v² = u² + 2as
