Let the age of grandfather be "a" and that of the granddaughter be "b"

as per the question,

a = 10 b                             ----> (1)

also,

a = b + 54

substituting the value of a , from eqn(1)

10b = b + 54

9b = 54

b = 6

a = 10b
   = 60

Age of grandfather =a = 60 years
Age of granddaughter = b = 6 years
