Length =28 m   Breadth =12m

∴Area of rectangle = L×B ⇒[28 m  × 12m] ⇒  336  sq m

square slabs of side = [0.16 cm =0.16 m] ⇒

∴Area of square slab =[side]^2  =[0.16 m ×0.16 m ]  ⇒0.0256  sq m

∴Nos of slabs needed =[Area of rectangle  ÷ Area of square ]

∴Nos of slabs needed =[336  sq m  ÷ 0.0256  sq m ]

∴Nos of slabs needed = 13125

the cost of 100 slabs is rupees 250

∴cost of 13125 = [250÷100] × 13125

                       =2.5× 13125 ⇒RS 32812.5

the cost of the slabs =  RS 32812.5    ANS

Answer:

Rs 32812.5

Step-by-step explanation:

the length and breadth of the rectangular floor is 28m and 12m respectively.

so the area is 28×12=336 sq m.

the measure of the side of the square slab is 16 cm = 0.16 m

so are of the square slab is 0.16×0.16=0.025 sq m.

number of slabs required= area of the floor/ area of the slab

336/ 0.0256= 13125 slabs.

cost of 100 slabs is 250

so cost of 13125 slabs is 250/100×13125 = ₹ 32812.5

therefore cost of 13125 slabs is ₹ 32812.5

Hope it helps you
