A hedge boundary needs to be planted around a rectangular lawn 18 m long and 12 m wide.
if shrubs can be planted to grow a metre of hedge, how many shrubs will be needed in all?

total no. of shrubs = perimeter of the lawn /1
                               = 2(l+b)
                               = 2(18+12)
                               = 2(30)
                               = 60
