A hole is to be dug in the ground which 10 men or 15 women can do in one day. If only 4 men and 3 women were present for the work on first day, how many women will have to work on the second day to complete the remaining work?​

15 women working for 10 days complete a job means the job requires the input of 150 woman-days. One woman does (1/150)th of the job in a day.

Seven man do (7/120)th of the job in a day. Ten women do (10/150)th of the job in a day. So in one day 7 men and 10 women do (7/120)+(10/150) or [150*7+10*120]/120*150 = [1050+1200]/120*150 = 2250/120*150 = 1/8th of the work.
