it was advantageous for muni as the American thought that muni was the owner of the pedestrial horse and therefore got money for something that was belonging to him and had not to sell his goats even.

In the story “A Horse and Two Goats”, there exists a conversation between an American and Muni, a villager.
He had two goats and he met the American when he took his goats for grazing. He sat on the pedestal of the horse statue. On seeing that, the American assumed that Muni was the ‘owner of the statue’ and so he gave one hundred rupees to get that horse.
But Muni misunderstood that the American gave that amount for his two goats. Thus, he got the advantage of earning one hundred rupees on sitting on the ‘pedestal’ of the horse’s statue.
