Answer :

 A = 2.5 when B = 2

Given :

  • A is inversely proportional to B
  • When A is 10, B is 2

To find :

  • Value of A when B is 8

Solution :

 It is given,

=>  A is inversely proportional to B

        A \propto \frac{1}{B} \\\\ \boxed{\bf A=\frac{constant}{B} }

=> When A = 10, B = 2

              substitute the values of A and B

          A=\frac{constant}{B} \\\\ 10=\frac{constant}{2} \\\\ constant=10\times2\\\\ \underline{\underline{\bf constant=20}}

     

=> To find A, when B = 8

    Substitute the value of B and constant

          A=\frac{constant}{B} \\\\ A=\frac{20}{8} \\\\ A=\frac{5}{2} \\\\ \underline{\underline{\bf A=2.5}}

A = 2.5 when B = 8
