The difference between the speed of the jeep and  the speed of the car is 30 km/h

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio  between the speed of the jeep and the car is 3:2

Formula: \text{Distance}}=\text{Speed}\times \text{Time}

  • For Jeep:-

Speed of Jeep, S_J=3x

Time taken, t=5\ hours

Let distance covered by Jeep be J km

Therefore,

J=3x\times 5

J=15x

  • For car:-

Speed of car, S_C=2x

Time taken, t=4\ hours

Let distance covered by car be C km

Therefore,

C=2x\times 4

C=8x

If the difference between the distance covered  by the jeep and the car is 210 km

Therefore,  |J-C| = 210

15x-8x=210

7x=210

x=30

Speed of Jeep, S_J=3x=3\times 30=90\text{ km/h}

Speed of Car, S_C=2x=2\times 30=60\text{ km/h}

Difference between the speed of the Jeep and speed of the car:-

\Rightarrow 90-60

\Rightarrow 30\text{ km/h}
