Radius of cap, r = 7 cm
Height of cap, h = 24 cm
By pythagoreas theorem, we have
l2 = r2 + h2 = 72 + 242 = 49 + 576 = 625
So, l = root(625) = 25 cm
Area required to make one cap = C.S.A. of cone
= TTrl
= 22/7*7*25
= 550 cm2
Area required to make 10 such caps = 10*550 = 5500 cm2 = 0.55 m2
