a lorry of mass of 2000kg moving with a speed of 50kmh collides with a drum of mass 2.5kg at a police checkpoint. The velocty of the lorry after the impact is 34km. what is the velocity of the drum?

speed is 50 km per hour

kinetic energy is 2000×2500

5000000joules

if the speed is changed to 34 km per hour

then new kinetic energy =2000×1156

2312000joules

mass of the drum is 2.5 kg

let the velocity be x

so atq 2.5×x2

=2688000

x2=1075200

x=1036.9
