Step-by-step explanation:

suppose 4000 at rate of x so rate for 5000 is x-2

both are for 3 years total interest is 1050

(4000×x×3)/100 + (5000(x+2)3)/100 = 1050

120x + 150x + 300 = 1050

270x = 750

x = 27/75 = 9/25 = 0.36%

and second rate is 2.36%

Answer:

525 and 514.5

Step-by-step explanation:

given total interest=1050

then

since he borrowed 4000 &5000 and returns the total interest in 3 years

divide the total interest by 2

1050/2=525.

therefore

interest of Rs. 4000=Rs. 525.

interest of Rs. 5000=525-2%

that is Rs. 514.5
