Let his total property to be 1

His wife's share = 2/5*1 = 2/5

His son's share = 1/3*1 = 1/3

Remaining property  = 1 - (2/5+1/3)

                                  = 1-11/15

                                  =    4/15

His daughter's share = 4/15*1 = 40,000

                                  = 1 = 40,000*15/4

                                   = 1,50,000
