A man pulls a trolley a distance of 20 m on a smooth surface if the force applied by the man is 30 n then calculate the work done in pulling the troley.

# Given-

F = 30 N

s = 20 m

θ = 0°


# Solution-

As the surface is smooth there will be no frictional force.


Work done by force in displacing trolley is calculated by-

W = F.s

W = Fscosθ

W = 30 × 20 × cos(0°)

W = 600 J


Therefore, work done by force in pulling the trolley is 600 J.
