Answer:Let the no. of eggs bought be x. Then,

CP = ₹(16/3× x) = ₹16x/3

SP = ₹ (36/5× x) =₹36x/5

CP of 15 eggs = 16 ×5 = ₹80

SP of 15 eggs = 36 ×3 = ₹108

SP > CP, there is a gain.

Gain = (SP – CP) = ₹(108–80) = ₹28

No. of eggs = 168/28×15 = 42 × 15/7

=6 × 15 = 90

Ans=> He purchased 90 eggs.
