Ans: 37.5%

Suppose cost price of 100 kg article = Rs.100 ---(1)

Profit is 10%.

Therefore, selling price of 100 kg article = Rs.110

But he uses a weight which is 20% less.

Therefore, actual quantity sold is only 80 kg for which he gets Rs.110

Cost price of 80 kg = Rs.80    from(1)

Therefore, actual Profit

= ( 110 − 80 ) 100/80

= 30 × 100/80

= 37.5 %
