Let his income be x
Then,
75% of 80% of 50% of x = 4200
3/4 * 4/5 * 1/2 * x = 4200
12/40 * x = 4200
x = 4200*40/12
x = 350 *40
x = 14000

Income = Rs.84000/-

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the questions,

A men spends 50 % of his income on boarding , 20 % on other personal necessities and 25 % of the rest in charity. he is left Rs. 4200

Total spends, 50% + 20% + 25 % = 95 %

Thus ,

5 % = 4200

So,

100 % = \frac{4200}{5}\times 100

100 % = \frac{420000}{5}

100 % = 84000

Income = Rs.84000/-
