A man tells tells his daughter seven years ago i was 7 times as old as you were then also 3 years from now i shall be 3 times as old as you will be find their present ages

x+3=3(y+3)

x+3=3y+9...............(2)

Subtracting (2) from (1)

We get,

y=12

Substituting value of y in (2)

We get,

x=42

So, present age of man= 42years

And present age of daughter= 12years
