Answer:

180km

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the total journey be 'k'

(2/5)k + (1/3)k + (1/4)k =(59/60)k

Distance covered by walk =3km

It is (1/60)k =3km

So k=180km that is the total length of the journey

Answer:

Let the whole distance he travelled be x km

Distance covered by train=1/5x

Distance covered by bus =1/3x

Distance covered by car=1/4x

distance covered on foot =3 km

1/3x+1/5x+1/4x+3=x

20+12+15/60x+3=x

x-42/60x =3

60x-42x/60=3

18/60x=3

x=3×60/18

x=180/18

x=10

therefore, length of his total journey =10 km
