Correct Question:

A man travels a certain distance by train in 4 hours and 12 minutes at the speed of 44.8 km per hour. How much time will it take to cover the same distance is the speed of the train is increased to 58.8 km per hour?

Given:

Time:- 4 hours and 12 minutes

Speed:- 44.8 km per hour

To Find:

Time will it take to cover the

same distance is the speed of the train is

increased to 50.8 km per hour.

Solution:

Time :- 4hr and 12 min = 4.2hr

Speed:- 44.8 km per hr

Here we using the formula of Distance:

\underline{\boxed{\bf{\pink{Distance : Speed × Time}}}}

Distance: 44.8 × 4.2

= 188.16 km

Now,

Distance:- 188.16 km

Speed:- 58.8 km/hr

Then we have to find time,

By using the formula of Time.

\underline{\boxed{\bf{\pink{Time:- \frac{Distance}{Speed}.}}}}

\dashrightarrow\: \sf\ Time: \Large\frac{188.16}{58.8}

\dashrightarrow\: \underline{\boxed{\bf{\purple{=3.2}}}}

•°• 3hr and 2min will take to cover by the train.

  • Time is a part of the measuring system used to sequence the events, to compare the duration of events and the intervals between them. Formula :- Distance/speed.
  • Speed can be thought of as the rate at which an object covers distance. Formula:- Distance/time.
  • Distance is length covered by the body per unit time. Formula:- Speed × Time.
