A man walks for 1 minute with a speed of 1m/sband he runs for the next minute with a speed of 3m/s along a straight track.The total distance covered is

For 1st min,
t=60sec
s=1m/s
d=s×t
=1×60
=60m

For 2nd min,
T=60sec
S=3m/s
D=s×t
=60×3
=180m

Total distance covered = Distance covered in total time
=(180+60)m
=240m=Total distance.
