solution:
6 min = 6/ 60 hrs = 0.1 hr
9 min = 9/ 60 hrs = 0.15 hr

d = s*t = 6 (t + 0.15) = 8 (t - 0.1)

6t + 0.9 = 8t - 0.8
2t = 1.7
t = 0.85
so
d = 6 ( 0.85 + 0.15)
d = 6 km
hope that helped

Answer:

6 min = 6/ 60 hrs = 0.1 hr

9 min = 9/ 60 hrs = 0.15 hr

d = s*t = 6 (t + 0.15) = 8 (t - 0.1)

6t + 0.9 = 8t - 0.8

2t = 1.7

t = 0.85

so

d = 6 ( 0.85 + 0.15)

d = 6 km
