Answer: TSA of capsule = 220 mm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

TSA of capsule= csa of cylinder+ 2*(csa of hemispheres) since there are 2 hemispheres

Csa of cylinder:

2*22/7*r*h

r=5/2mm

h = 14-2*radius of hemisphere

= 9mm

CSA=2*22/7*5/2*9

= 990/7 mm^2

CSA of hemisphere= 2*22/7*R^2

=2*275/7= 550/7 mm^2

tsa = csa of cylinder+csa of both hemispheres

=990/7 + 550/7 mm^2

=1540/7

=220 mm^2
