The cost price is ₹800

Given data :

Selling price = ₹ 1200

Profit = 50%

Let,the cost price = ₹ x

Profit = x × 50/100 = ₹ x/2

Selling price = (x+x/2) = ₹ 3x/2

Now,

3x/2 = 1200

3x = 2400

x = 800 (answer)
