Find the surface area of the top and bottom:

Area of the metallic pipe top = 2πr² - 2πr²

Area of the metallic pipe top = 2π(3.5 + 0.7)² - 2π(3.5)²  = 33.88 cm²

Find the inner curved surface:

Curved surface area = 2πrh

Curved surface area = 2π(3.5)(5) = 110 m²

Find the outer curved surface:

Curved surface area = 2πrh

Curved surface area = 2π(3.5 + 0.7)(5) = 132 m²

Total surface area:

Total surface area = 33.88 + 110 + 132 = 275.88 m²

Answer: The total surface area is  275.88 m²
