the monkey will climb the pole in 40 seconds because

lets assume the time taken is x seconds.then using unitary method

  time              (distance in yards)

  2 sec-------->  +5-2=3          

  x sec--------> 60

x=60*2/3

x=120/3

x=40

hence it will take 40 seconds
