Total money = 60000


x + 3/8x + 1/2x =60000
(8x + 3x + 4x)/8 = 60000
15/8x = 60000
x = 60000×8/15
x = 32000


mother's share =x
=32000


elder son's share = 3/8x
= 3/8 × 32000
= 12000

younger son's share = 1/2x
= 1/2 × 32000
=16000

To find :

Solution :

= x + ⅜x + ½x

= 60000

= (8 + 3 + 4)/8x

= 60000

= 15/8x

= 60000

= x = 8 x 400

= x = 3200

∴ Mother contribution = Rs.3200

∴ elder Son contribution = ⅜ x 3200 = Rs.1200

∴ younger Son = ½ x 3200 = Rs.1600
