let speed of boat = x km/hr
now
while going to down stream speed of boat = x+5 km/hr
and that of against stream = x-5 km/hr
now , distance = time × speed
d = 3 (x+5 )
d = 3x + 15
also , d = 4 ( x-4)
d = 4x - 16
so ,
3x + 15 = 4x - 16
x = 31 km/hr
