A motorist has to travel 3.5 km in a city where his average speed should not exceed 25km/hr. IF HE INCREASES HIS SPEED TO 40KM/HR. hOW MUCH TIME WILL HE GAIN IN HIS JOURNEY?

here is your solution..
.If the speed limit in a city is 25 km/hr, then his travel time is
t1= s/V1
= 3.50/25 = 0.14 hr...

.
.
If he increased his speed to 40 km/hr, then his travel time is
t2 =s/V2 = 3.50/25
= 0.0875...
.
...Therefore, his travel time will gain by.

t=t1-t2
t= 0.14=0.0875
=0.0525hr
0.0525*60=3.15min....
