1.Liquid state is the fluid form of matter which can fill the lower part of the container .

2.Particles in liquid have little more inter molecular force than solids.

In liquid state particles  have little inter molecular space than solids.

3. Hence,particles in liquid state  can vibrate , move about and slide past each other.

(ii)Particles just move around randomly because of very weak force of attraction :

1.Gases are the fluid form of matter which fills the entire container.

2. In gas, particles have more inter molecular spaces than solids and gases.

3. Gases are well separated with no arrangement.

4. Gases have weak force of attraction.

Hence particles in gaseous state , just move around randomly because of very weak force of attraction

(b)We can change gas in a liquid by cooling it or condensing it because on cooling it the molecules or particles come closer and thus turns into other state of matter i.e. Liquid similarly you can convert liquid in solid.
