let the first part be 5x
then the second part will be 3x
it is clear that 3x will b small no. it is also given that number is divided into two parts such that one part is 10 more than the otherso,
acc. to ques.,
5x = 3x + 10
5x-3x=10
2x=10
x=10/2
x=5
now first no. is 5x
5(5)
25

and second no. is 3x
3(5)
15

now the no. is 15+25=40

Let the parts be 5x and 3x.
Difference between them=10
Given,5x-3x=10
or,2x=10
or,x=10/2=5
The parts are 5*5=25 and 3*5=15
The number=25+15=40
Ans:The parts are 25 and 15 and the number is 40.
