let us understand it with taking an example :-

let the no. be 20

than , according to question,,

20/100 × 20 = 0.2 × 20 = 4

now , the no. will be = 24

OK , now ,

question saying by what % the new no. is decreased to restore the original value .

so , the answer will be 20%

cause 20% of 20 is 4 and we get again the same no. which is 20 after subtraction

ashwani53: answer is 50
