Hi ,

Let one number = x

Second number = 2x

According to the problem given ,

2x - 50 - ( x - 40 ) = 2

2x - 50 - x + 40 = 2

x -10 = 2

x = 2 + 10

x = 12

Therefore ,

Required numbers are,

First number = x = 12

Second number = 2x = 2 × 12 = 24

I hope this helps you.

Let First number = x

Second number = 2x

2x - 50 = 2 + ( x - 40 )

2x - 50 - x = 2 - 40

x - 50 = -38

x = 50-38

x = 12

numbers are 12,24

First number = x = 12

Second number = 2x = 2 × 12 = 24

Required numbers are 12,24.
