Step-by-step explanation:

so if the paper making machine will increase then day will decrease bcoz paper would make faster right? so this is an inverse Or indirect proportion. so what is the formula of inverse proportion, it is x1 × y1 = x2 × y2

so x1 is 36, y1 is 56. y2 is 42 and we have to find x2. so

36×56=x2×42

x2=36×56÷42

now try the rest of prblm yourself, it's that simple...

Answer:

27 Machines will be required to produce the same quantity of paper in 42 days.

Step-by-step explanation:

It's an Inverse Variation.

Because, the no. of machine increases the less will be days required to make the papers and vice versa.

So, the equation is as follows:-

36/x = 56/42

= 36 × 42 = 56x

= 1512/56 = x

= 27 =x = Answer.
